A while ago found these perfect birch bark pieces and decided to make a mini
house out of them. Used wood chips for the rooftops and a wooden base. Lots of hot
glue and voila!

I know it's not Halloween yet but having projects just lying around drives me nuts
so decided to finish this old beat up ceramic doll head box.
Her eyes popped out and she looked spooky so why not turn her into a
glowing eye creepy box decoration!!

What to do with an old broken clock frame.....curious indeed.
Well an Alice in Wonderland diorama is just fine I suppose.

Decided to give making a pistachio shell candle holder.
Easy and fun and great way to re-use the shells!
Start with heavy cardboard, pistachio shells,
any votive (glass is best as it won't melt/burn),
spray paint, hot glue.

Use any size cup or glass and cut out the shape on the cardboard,
do the same with the votive. This gives you the pattern to follow.
Start by hot gluing the shells around the circle until you get to the outside and
can no longer see the cardboard.

Spray paint any color, dry, and voila!!

Haven't posted anything in quite some time but it's Father's day
and here is an idea for a card/gift.
Made the root beer card to go with a case of Dad's root beer.
A good old fashioned favourite!!
Finding the bottle graphic was easy and printed out, getting a Dad's root beer
label was also easy using Google image search and grabbing a small plant with
a root attached from the garden was super easy.

Oh and that's my father in law on the label, replaced the original guy on the label
with his picture.

Original label

Any photoshop program can remove the original guy and you can replace it with
your dad, father in law etc.

Here's the bottle I used
Bottle found here

And of course the verse on the inside ties it together.
And voila a nice card and gift idea!!

It's also very inexpensive if you are on a budget.
And who doesn't like root beer!!

A nice angel diorama with street light. Keeping a natural theme and using only browns, golds and greens this little gal turned out great! The light uses two AA batteries and the housing is hot glued to the back of the diorama.

Merry Christmas 2015!

Another snowman with a shabbier style!

This wine cork tray used to be an old print, the print wasn't really anything so the frame was painted and had drawer pulls screwed onto the ends to make a tray. The wine corks were cut in half and contact cement was used to affix them to the glass of the print.

They didn't line up perfectly but some of the glass was left without cork and painted with chalk paint. You can write anything on it, wine time, wine please, cheese and crackers or any funky saying.

Mostly just for display and a good way to reuse some old wine corks. The two pieces together make a nice gift idea!

The wine cork snowman looks really cute with a mini santa hat and instead of mixing green and red, went with blues and red.

The first snowman ornament I made, pretty simple, he's to hang on a wine bottle. A wooden spool used for the hat. Any ribbon colors would work and a fuzzy orange pompom for the nose.

Not an original idea but a nice cheap way to hang some coffee cups at the cottage!
No stencil required, just paint the letters however you like. It's not meant to be perfect.
